Up-and-comers Connor, Beaumont and Patrick split the bill in a tasty light meal that’s perfect for the end of a long day on the Fringe.

Connor and Patrick are observational comics, the former a Glaswegian, the latter an Aberdeen-based Nottingham lad. Divorced dad Connor, a professional carer by day, prowls the comedy circuit at night, his seven-year-old son front and centre in his set. Connor’s anything but cutesie-pie, though, having the Weegie’s incredulous eye for ridiculousness.

Like Connor, Patrick has an easy rapport with the audience. He tells us of a trip to China and shares a favourite passage from Pat Barker’s Regeneration. He’s not hilarious, but is certainly someone you’d be happy to listen to if he struck up a conversation on the bus.

Beaumont eschews observation for pure character comedy, getting away with thoroughly outrageous comments. A Hull shopgirl turned poet of extraordinary bluntness, the stage Beaumont is a riot, and I can’t wait to see her in a full-length show.
