Theatre review: The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, Gilded Balloon, Teviot

SUPPOSEDLY when you turn Mac, you never turn back.

Mike Daisey’s 60-minute monologue looks at globalisation, consumerism and capitalism and how
multi-million-dollar-making company Apple exploits factory workers in China in order to maximise its prolific profits.

Delivered by Grant O’Rourke, the format fails to hold attention – verging on dull – and is missing the theatrical element that will truly captive and stimulate minds.
