Davis was chief promoter for the ‘hacktivist collective’ Anonymous when he was just 18, the group targeted such high profile companies as Mastercard, Sony and News International. This led to them being sought after by the CIA, who they had also targeted, and ended with them being dubbed them the ‘most wanted cyber criminals on the planet’.

Davis was later arrested at his home in 2011 on suspicion of more than 80 charges of conspiracy, pled guilty to two of them and was later barred from the internet for two years.
