Review: In Transit, theSpace on Niddry Street (Venue 9)

An IMAGINATIVE opening, in which performers line the entrance way with sleeping, dispirited bodies, holds huge promise, but then fails to deliver. “I have a story I need you to understand” we’re told – but that story is never communicated.

Images of child migrants from the Second World War to present day appear before us, through film, text and predominantly contemporary dance. Despite admirable effort, by trying to tell three people’s stories, these young performers end up telling no-one’s.

Until today, 2:30pm.
