Review: Power Shuffle, theSpace on North Bridge (venue 36)

Shades of Alice in Wonderland come through this highly physical ensemble piece, but other than that, the storytelling is unnecessarily verbose and confusing. With performances ranging from over-the-top to almost too quiet to hear, this supposed morality tale drags its heels, while simultaneously moving too fast to explore the narrative in any detail.

Other than some superb acrobatics from Suzanne Enoch and Ben Collis, which did nothing to serve the plot but certainly got the audience onside, there’s very little to recommend here.

Until today, 11am.
