Review: Grim (m) - Unreal stories for real times, Greenside

A COUPLE of women with pointy horns made of real hair and burlesque-ish outfits made of curtains prance their way through a bloodthirsty selection of the Grimms’ fairytales.**

There are dismembered babies, women eating their children, people having sex with the devil. You know. The usual. But there are only so many dismembered babies you can take.

Despite the unrelenting violence and a few vaguely lesbian moments, the presentation is plodding, the style pedestrian and these tales of horror fail to thrill. But, ah the Fringe. People expressing themselves. Isn’t it wonderful?
