Review: Cover, C Nova

A GROUP of middle-class young people with too few problems and too much time makes for a rather irritating bunch to spend an hour trapped in a room with.* *

When a wannabe posh rah and his brother break into their father’s empty London crash pad with two girls in tow, this sets the scene for an evening of drink-fuelled confrontation and revelations.

Writer Ed J Smith’s script has some amusing one-liners but the young cast give uneven, frequently melodramatic performances. An attempt to mimic The Artist through bursts of fast-paced mime adds nothing apart from irritation at the abuse of a superior piece of work.
