Musselburgh Amateur Musical Association returns with 2012 Revue

MUSSELBURGH Amateur Musical Association (MAMA) welcomes new director Stuart Nicoll to their ranks when they present their annual Revue at the Brunton Theatre tonight.

Packed with popular songs, Review 2012 is the latest in a long line of productions from the company, which was formed in 1950 and now has more than 70 acting and non-acting members aged between eight and 80.

Nicoll says, “Revue 2012 will have a different format to MAMA’s traditional January outing. There will be a chance for the entire company to shine with solos, duets and group numbers from the likes of Jekyll And Hyde, Wicked, Sister Act, Hairspray and Annie. There’s also a fantastic Andrew Lloyd Webber medley as well as an assortment of soul, pop, dance, show-tunes, gospel and anthems.”

MAMA Revue 2012, Brunton Theatre, Musselburgh, tonight-Saturday, 7.30pm (Saturday matinee 2pm), £8-£10, 0131-665 2240
