Tennent’s gives ‘80s and ‘90s movie scenes a Scottish twist

TENNENT’S has reimagined classic scenes from ‘80s and ‘90s cinema as tributes to Scottish humour in a new video to promote a run of bottles inspired by that period.

Instead of asking for “your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle,” Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator opts for “yer clothes, yer boots and yer gutties. Elsewhere, Mr Miyagi from The Karate Kid skips and martial arts training and shows his protege how to use dating app Tinder, and Schwarzenegger appears again via Predator, pleading for his companion to “get to the chippie”.

The lager firm is celebrating its limited edition retro packs styled to resemble the brewer’s bottle design of the ‘80s. They video was created via overdubbing app Lipp, which lets users make their own Scottish versions of classic film clips.
