Skye's the limit for new art exhibition

THE inspiring landscapes of Edinburgh and Skye are being highlighted in a new art exhibition opening in the Capital.

Pupils from Tollcross Primary School and Bun-sgoil Shleite in Skye have created more than 150 artworks and animations as part of the innovative 18-month Air Lomlaid project at the Fruitmarket Gallery. Pupils Arthur Brook-Young, nine, from Skye, and Esme Hutchinson, ten, of Tollcross, were helping to put the finishing touches to the exhibition recently, ahead of the opening.

The Air Lomlaid project saw the pupils work with artist Julie Brook to produce drawings, paintings and large-scale artworks which will be on show until 9 May.
