Rory Bremner, Dara O’Briain to appear at comedy awards bash

RORY Bremner, Dara O’Briain, Ardal O’Hanlon and Sara Millican will be among the headline acts as Glasgow’s annual comedy festival celebrates its tenth anniversay.

Home-grown acts like Dorothy Paul, Frankie Boyle, Craig Hill, Raymond Mearns and Des Clarke will rub shoulders with American comics Michael Winslow, Doug Stanhope and Rich Hall in the line-up.

More than 330 shows are now included in the programme for the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, which started life with just 120 gigs when it was launched by promoter Tommy Sheppard in 2003. He said: “It is now a major cultural date for Scotland.”
