Q Alan Elliott is trying to get in touch with an ex-National serviceman who served with him in Catterick Camp at HQ Training Brigade Royal Signals from 1960 to July 1962.

Alan explains: "His name was John Young and his wife was Isabel and they lived in Penicuik. We visited them there many years ago and they made us very welcome. Due to a lost address book, I have lost contact."

He adds: "There was also a Jimmy Bogie who played football in that region and managed to get home most weekends to play. I think on leaving the army he went to work in a pumping station."
