In pictures: Festival Fringe Poster Competition

Each year The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Schools Poster Competition gives kids across Scotland the chance to design that year’s official Fringe poster.

Since its launch in 1980, the competition has inspired over 100,000 young people aged 5-16 from across Scotland to put their artistic and creative talents to the test and create a poster that reflects what the Fringe means to them.

We’ve put together a gallery of all the winners from 1980 - 2012. The winner of this year’s competition will be unveiled in May.
