Pick of the Clubnights

BBC1’s Grooverider has hailed Camo and Krooked as “one of the biggest talents in drum n bass”.

The Austrian duo, real names Reinhard Rietsch (Camo) and Markus Wagner (Krooked), headline Xplicit tomorrow as part of their Cross The Line album tour.

Wagner explains, “After finishing the album, we’ve been busy in the studio working on soundtracks.

“We’ve just completed a remix for A Bungle featuring Ayah Marar, and any downtime has been spent making special versions of the album to make the live set more unique.”

You can hear the results of their efforts at the Bongo Club tomorrow.

The pair started working together in 2007 and the partnership has seen them rocket to the top, banging out anthem after anthem.

Wagner continues, “The tour has been a sell-out so far, and it’s an exciting time for us, performing live in an LED cage. This is the best time of our lives”.

Signed to Hospital records, their energetic beats and breaks have brought them to the attention of top jock Zane Lowe, who has been championing them on his radio show.

Their remix work is equally impressive, working alongside Deadmau5 and Pendulum.

Rietsch adds, “We have already been in Edinburgh once and had a great time. Scottish crowds are full of positive energy and we love that.”
