Photo of airman who crashed in Haddington

Margaret Ainslie is hoping for some help from readers with an exhibition Haddington History Society, in conjunction with others, is preparing to hold in St Mary's Parish Chuch, Haddington, in May/June this year.

She says: "I am helping as a volunteer to research various aspects of East Lothian at War, and I have been asked to try and locate a photograph and/or family of an Airman, who is buried in St Martin's Cemetery in Haddington. His details are: 1348307 Warrant Officer Peter Turvey Wilkinson - Pilot RAF. Mosquito No LR 559. He died 22 October 1944 when the Mosquito he was in crashed into a house on the outskirts of Haddington. He was the son of Mr Colin Clarence Wilkinson and Mrs Beatrice Turvey Wilkinson of Boswall Green, Edinburgh.

I have confirmation that Mr Colin Wilkinson died in 1969 and Mrs Beatrice Wilkinson in 1984, but wonder if there is any way of trying to locate any relatives/friends through your columns. "
