The site of Zoo nightclub in Canal Street will be replaced by 32 new apartments, with construction to begin next month.
It had been known by various names in the past, including Curly Lloyds and Electric Whispers. It closed last August.
Robinson Partnership Homes are destroying the site after plans for the 32 apartment development were submitted to Perth and Kinross Council by the site’s owners, Perthshire Glazing Company, in December.
The flats will be allocated to those most in need once they are built.
