Held in and around Glen Affric, this event consists of outdoor survival skills tutorials, guided high-level walks, low-level walks and even a night walk guided by glo-sticks. Expect spectacular views, intriguing glimpses of wildlife and, one imagines, a fairly high beard count.

The first big athletics meet of the year, the Aviva International Match, is under starter's orders at Glasgow's Kelvin Hall this afternoon at 1:30pm. Teams from around the globe will be competing in events such as the pole vault, high jump and 200 metres.
