My little piece of Scotland: Murrayfield Ice Rink

MY favourite little piece of Scotland is Murrayfield Ice Rink. I always feel excited before I step on to the ice. The clean, shimmering white always makes me feel like skating as fast as I can. I am learning to skate backwards, but I can twirl and spin easily. I have my own black-and-silver racing skates.

If I get tired we go for a snack and drink at the caf. We drink hot chocolate and eat sweets for extra energy.

MY FAVOURITE little piece of Scotland is Scotland Yard Adventure Centre, in Edinburgh. It has loads to do and it's big. Inside you can play the piano and muck around on large foam shapes. You can draw and they make you toast and sandwiches.

Outside there are cool swings, bikes, go-karts and a sensory garden. I have been there a few times with my friend David and it has always been sunny.

The staff there are really friendly and make you feel welcome. They never tell you what to do but trust you to behave. I think it will always be my favourite place because I have really happy memories of being there.

MY FAVOURITE little piece of Scotland is Craig Tara caravan park, on the Ayrshire coast. If you stand on top of a massive beach cave you can see the Isle of Arran rising out of the water. Seals play near the shore.

I went swimming with my brother during the heatwave. A big wave knocked us over. We played on the go-karts, in the adventure playground and in the swimming pool. Best of all, we went in a boat shaped like a swan. It takes you through a massive cave.

MY FAVOURITE little piece of Scotland is Easter Road Stadium. It has a capacity of 17,500 and it feels the best when it is full of cheering fans. We catch the bus there and always sit on the top deck, waving our scarves. It feels amazing to join hundreds of fans, swarming along the streets. Inside the stadium, the atmosphere is electric – a sea of green and white.

At half-time, we have a hot pie and tea – ready for the second half. We cheer and shout until our throats are sore.
