Kelly flags up support for armed forces

LORRAINE Kelly swapped the comfort of her GMTV sofa to hang out of a helicopter, speed along a river and ride on a tank yesterday as she showed her support for the armed forces.

The Scots presenter also revealed that her childhood ambition was to be a pilot in the RAF, as she boarded a Sea King helicopter to promote Armed Forces Day.

Kelly set off from RAF Leuchars in Fife yesterday morning, flying by Royal Navy helicopter to Scotstoun shipyard in Glasgow where she was winched down from the aircraft.
