Hotel revenue down by 2.7%

HOTEL revenue has fallen while occupancy levels remained almost the same during October, according to the latest Scottish figures.

Accountants and business advisers PKF found that revenue, known in the industry as “rooms yield”, fell 2.7 per cent year on year.

The number of people checking into hotels in Scotland rose by 0.2 per cent to 76.1 per cent, compared with England which saw a 2 per cent increase to 74.6 per cent.
