First Scottish adventure for Asterix and Obelix
ASTERIX and Obelix, stars of the French comic which has entertained children and adults alike for decades, are to venture to Scotland for the first time in more than 50 years.
Asterix and the Picts will be released in October and will see the pair – along with faithful Dogmatix – visit early Scots society. A drawing released shows burly Obelix carrying off a Highland chieftain in comic fashion.
Jean-Yves Ferri, author of the new edition, will deliver the keynote speech at the close of the International Graphic Novel and International Bande Dessinee Society joint conference at the University of Glasgow today.
