DVD of the Week: The Muppets

WHAT is it? Kermit, Miss Piggy and Co reunite in a goofy, warm-hearted comedy written by and starring lifelong Muppets fan Jason Segel.

What we said: “As in the old Muppet movies, there are a host of guest appearances, most of which strenuously favour modern American TV stars, so if you don’t watch The Big Bang Theory, for instance, you may be flummoxed by the guy who appears in the Man Or Muppet number. On the other hand, I suppose it’s reassuring to discover Mickey Rooney is still alive.” Extras: Lots, including deleted scenes, spoof trailers, and “The Longest Blooper Reel Ever Made”.
