Family Guy’s Brian Griffin returns to show

THE creators of cult animated TV series Family Guy have revived one of the show’s main characters - the dog Brian Griffin - just weeks after killing him off.

Brian was killed in a car crash in a recent episode, and the family were seen to replace him with a new dog.

In a Christmas episode broadcast in the USA yesterday, Brian was brought back to life after the family’s hyper-intelligent baby Stewie travelled back in time to save him.

An online petition to bring back Brian - who has been a key character across the 12 series of the Seth Macfarlane animation - received over 120,000 signatures.
