Edinburgh University archive curiosities on show

SHELLS collected by Charles Darwin and the death mask of Sir Isaac Newton are among the incredible artefacts from the Edinburgh University archives set to go on display at the University’s main library.

The new exhibition, entitled ‘Collect.ed’, brings together pieces from across the University’s collection.

Prehistoric shark’s teeth and images of the preserved brain of grave robber William Burke are also part of the exhibition, programmed by exhibitions intern Emma Smith.

Collect.ed opens on 5th December 2013 and runs until 1st March 2014, Monday to Friday 10.00am – 5.00pm, Saturday 10.00am – 1.00pm
