Edinburgh social media users react to Avengers: Infinity War

And it appears that many have been blown away by the big screen blockbuster. Writing on social media, one user said: “Trying to fathom what I’ve just witnessed. #InfinityWar somehow delivered on all the hype. Balancing an ensemble cast as huge as that can be no easy task, but they pulled it off. Absolutely broken by the ending.”
Catriona Beamish said: “if everyone I know could please make an extra special effort to see this as soon as possible so that I can discuss it at length with as many people as possible that would be much appreciated. If you need a buddy I will be your buddy. Need to see it again immediately.”

Hide AdAnd Scottish fans were quick to share their joy at Edinburgh being captured on the big screen. Courtney Tillbrook tweeted: “Not gonna lie, seeing Edinburgh did make me freak out a little, that’s my city in the Avengers omg”
One tweeter said: “What can I say about #InfinityWar other than WOW. 10 years and it paid off. Seeing Edinburgh and streets we’ve walked down a million times on the big screen was a highlight for us. Amazing.”
James Roman added: #Edinburgh looked amazing as always in #Infinitywar
Kirsty Sinclair wrote: “Just saw #InfinityWar AMAZING but know how to feel right no. It was super awesome seeing my home town in it”
Not all were impressed though as the film introduced the location as Scotland, not Edinburgh Jay Adama tweeted: Waited to see EDINBURGH flash up on screen during #InfinityWar and was disappointed as they just went with SCOTLAND.
Ally Wallace was on hand to sum up the thoughts of most Scots however, tweeting: “Ya feel a bit proud when Scotland appears on the screen in a multi billion dollar film... #infinitywar”
