Crieff Hydro do the double in top industry awards

Crieff Hydro has won two gongs at the Springboard Charity Awards for Excellence - the second year in a row that the luxury Perthshire resort has been recognised, joining an elite list that includes two Michelin starred restaurants.

The awards ceremony took place in London as the hotel took trophies for The People Innovation Award and the Best Management Strategy Awards. The resort joins Raymond Blanc’s two aux Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons restaurants as the only institutions to pick up awards two years running.

Stephen Leckie, Chief Executive of Crieff Hydro said; “People are at the heart of everything that Crieff Hydro does and it is a huge honour for my people here to have been presented with two awards this year in recognition for our team development initiatives.”

Commenting on this year’s awards, Anne Pierce, Springboard CEO said; “After a record number of entries, the judges were set a tough task, not only to go through the sheer volume of entries, but the standard of the entries were of the highest quality.”

She added; “What a fantastic night of celebration to reward people, organisations and projects that work to raise the profile of the hospitality sector and to attract and retain talent to this great industry.”

This is the second year running that Crieff Hydro has been presented with the Springboard People Innovation Award in recognition for its training and development initiatives. Both Crieff Hydro and the River Cottage Chefs’ School, which launched earlier this year, were announced as double winners at this year’s event.

The Springboard Charity supports young people in achieving their potential, nurturing unemployed people of any age into work whilst helping to alleviate poverty by supporting disadvantaged and underprivileged people into sustainable employment within the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors.
