Competition: Win tickets to Filth premieres

THE world premiere of Filth, the film based on the Irvine Welsh novel of the same name, is to be held in Edinburgh’s Vue Omni, it has been announced.

James McAvoy, who plays the film’s anti-hero detective, Bruce Robertson, and Welsh are due to attend the screening of the film at the city centre multiplex on Monday 23 September.

The film, directed by Jon S Baird and also starring Jim Broadbent, Jamie Bell and Imogen Poots, will be screened in Glasgow the following day before a general Scottish release on Friday 27 September. The film will be given a UK release in Friday 4 October.
