TONIGHT, new weekly club night Distracted kicks off in Base (formerly Opium) on the Cowgate. Expect DJs Stuart Kane and Lucky Luciano to pump out electro and hard house till 5am

CLUB 10-86: PIG & DAN

VERY few record labels become as iconic as fashion houses such as Prada and Channel, the exceptions being Sven Vath’s Cocoon, Deep Dish’s Yoshitoshi, Slam’s Soma and John Digweed’s Bedrock.

There are even fewer producers who have smashed the charts on all four imprints... Pig & Dan have.

The pair headline Club 10-86 tomorrow as they make their Scottish debut with a marathon three hour set. Bullet dodge label boss Gareth Whitehead heads up the supporting line up of DJs. Expect a heavy dose of deep, hypnotic house and cutting-edge progressive techno.

OLD school meets new school at Hanover Street’s coolest venue, 99. Featuring the slickest sounds provided by Little Joe and Bab’s Flow. Expect the funkiest collection of hip hop, soul, R n’ B, and dancehall in the ‘Burgh.

HARD KANDI 3: MALLORCA LEE

MALLORCA Lee scooped Scotland’s No 1 DJ award last year. He’s been around now for years - ever since the beginning of the rave scene - and playing to tens of thousands, selling more than four million records in the process. On Saturday night he headlines Hard Kandi in Livingston, along with Nuclear Puppy’s Jason Cortez and Forth One’s Krystale. Expect a banging party in West Lothian’s newest nightspot.
