Clubbing: got my moto working

BRINGING summer nights to Edinburgh tonight with a laid-back vibe, is headliner and future-hero of electronica, Canadian-born MOTO.

Living and studying in the Capital, the new kid on the block makes deliciously deep, swirly sounds - think, Boards of Canada and Ghostly International.

Support comes from David George, Belch, Sandy Bells and Popes, mixing up a blend of hip-hop, bass and house.

Zzzap at Annexe, Cowgate, tonight, 10.30pm – 3am, £3/5

WASABI DISCO

Amsterdam’s cult DJ icons San Proper & Fudge Fingers can be found at the coolest parties, not to mention at their own club night, The Black Out Disco Bust. Their deep house sound is interspersed with elements of hip- hop, funk and disco.

Some are bold enough to claim their style is true underground disco, we have to agree. Expect a cool vibe and a very, very funky edge.

Sneaky Pete’s, Cowgate, Saturday 11pm – 3am, £5

MUSIKA & SOULOCO

On Saturday a tag team club fusion throw a party at the Third Door. The official after party for Musika’s boat party features a huge list of DJs drafted in from both club banners with half-price entry for revellers who attended the boat party on the Forth, earlier in the day.

Expect all the usual suspects, including guests, Harry Bennett and Gav Grant.

Groove ahoy, we reckon.

Third Door, Lothian Street, Saturday, 11pm–3am, £5/7

PHUNKEDUP

The Street hosts a funked up pre-club from local boys, Allan Cargill, Mike 123, Robin & Michael, and Christer.

Playing out a late night selection of discotastic house, it’s the perfect location to kick-off your night before heading to GHQ, Mood or CC’s. The first outing for a group of DJs brimming with enthusiasm to party.

Street, Picardy Place, Saturday, 8pm–1am, free
