Best-selling shows at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro

Kevin Bridges (16 shows)

Kevin Bridges proved just how far he’s come from early performances at the Stand Comedy Club by securing 16 shows at the 13,000-capacity SSE Hydro. Drawing in a potential audience of 192,000, he has been the most popular act to perform there this year.

Disney on Ice (9 shows)

Family favourites Mickey, Minnie and friends drew in the crowds over their nine-show stint at the venue. Disney favourites including Frozen, Tangled and Beauty and the Beast were performed to sold-out crowds from 26-29 March 2015.

Take That (5 shows)

They might be down in members but there has been no such fall in fans. Originally formed in 1990, Take That are still going strong and were one of the most popular acts to perform to the Glasgow crowds this year.

Mrs Brown’s Boys (7 shows)

No stranger to the stage, Mrs Brown’s Boys was a must-see show for fans across the country. Across seven shows, Agnes Brown kept Scottish audiences entertained with her foul mouth and relatable gags.

Fleetwood Mac (3 shows)

Performing hits from their iconic album Rumours, Fleetwood Mac proved popular with Scottish audiences, who packed out the Hydro for the band’s three-show stint. Christine McVie’s return after a sixteen-year absence made the tour one to remember for those lucky enough to get tickets.

Strictly Come Dancing (4 shows)

Saturday night TV favourite Strictly Come Dancing invited Glasgow audiences to join them on the dancefloor over four shows in January. Audiences were able to sit ringside as dancers and celebrities battled to be crowned the winner.
