A woman has been arrested after a multiple charity tins and their contents were stolen from retail premises.

The charity money was stolen from various places across Aberdeen city.

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested during targeted patrols by police and has now been charged.

Constable Luke Liddle from the City Centre PST said "This type of crime will not be tolerated in our communities and will be dealt with robustly.”

The woman is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday, 12 February.
