James Clerk Maxwell: the inventor of colour photography

One of the top-3 influential physicists, alongside Einstein and Newton,  and responsible for the greatest revelation in modern physics.

Maxwell’s laws and Theory of Electromagnetism is the closest thing physics has to a grand unified theory.

His tireless work for physics earned him accolades and praise among his scientific peers, but few people know who he is or how much they have to thank him for.

The video above looks at Maxwell’s discovery of electromagnetism, The rings of Saturn, his discovery of trichromatic photography and his scientific groundwork that led to TV, Microwaves, Radio, Cinema and modern colour photography.
