Man charged over Grassmarket hit-and-run

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with a hit-and-run incident that took place on Sunday at the Grassmarket.
A pedestrian in his 50s was left fighting for his life after he was hit by a red car, while walking across a zebra crossing by the Apex International Hotel.
After the incident, which happened at around 9.45pm, the driver of the vehicle sped off towards Lothian road and the pedestrian was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
