Scot survives deadly helicopter crash in Ghana

Alastair McDonald was among the passengers heading to an oil field in Ghana when the helicopter came down, killing three people. One person, thought to be a Ghanaian national, remains missing.
The aircraft, a Black Hawk helicopter, crashed into the sea five kilometers away from the coastal town Takoradi last Thursday.

Hide AdA number of Ghanaian nationals, a Frenchman and a Nigerian were also onboard the helicopter with 44-year-old McDonald, from Aberdeen.
A major search operation has been launched with Ghanaian Navy and Air Force Support. The black box has been recovered by authorities, it has been reported.
