3-year-old taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Tranent

Police said a child was taken to hospital after he was struck by a car on High Street just after 11am.
The accident happened near St Martin’s Church.
A police spokesperson said: “Police in East Lothian were called to Haddington Road in Tranent around 11.10am on Tuesday 31st July following a collision between a Hyundai i10 and a 3-year-old child.

Hide Ad“The boy was taken to the Sick Kids as a precaution, and no further police action is required.”
The boy was taken to Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital however, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
