HEROIN worth £27,000 was seized by police after they pulled over a 4x4 vehicle on the M8 motorway.
A 45-year-old man was arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after officers seized a “large quantity” of the Class A drug.
Officers stopped a Freelander travelling east near Junction Four around 4.10pm yesterday and conducted a search of the car and its driver.
The heroin was recovered inside the car along with a white powder, which has been sent for analysis.
The man was set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
