Yesterday three of Scotland’s universities quit the CBI over the business group registering with the Electoral Commission backing a “no” vote in the independence referendum.
The Universities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen say they are pulling out because they must be seen to have a “strictly neutral position” .
Scottish Enterprise, VisitScotland, STV, the Balhousie Care Group and energy company Aquamarine Power have all resigned from the organisation.
