Terminus Traverse Theatre
This is an extraordinarily seductive play. Written in rhyming couplets, the script initially seems almost self-indulgent, but by its end is near to magnificent.
The story is told through a series of monologues from three characters. Revealing too much would spoil the surprise, but each, in essence, is lonely and looking for a way out. Andrea Irvine is the endearingly practical mother. Eileen Walsh is by turns, coy and then daring, closed and then painfully open, while Karl Shiels is impressively charismatic.
A magic piece of theatre.
