Scottish Cup: Plucky Buckie out - again
BUCKIE THISTLE'S Scottish Cup adventure came to an end for the second time on Saturday when the reinstated side lost 2-0 at home to Brechin.
The Highland League champions had found themselves up against the Second Division club after East Stirlingshire, who beat Buckie 1-0 in round four, had been expelled for fielding an ineligible player.
Brechin dominated proceedings from the early stages, going 1-0 up after 18 minutes through David Mckenna's stunning left-footed drive from the edge of the box.
Rory McAllister all but wrapped up his side's win with a fierce effort from 20 yards on the half-hour mark.
