Inverness is a traditionally tough venue, but a win for the champions was entirely merited, Rangers controlling possession and making light of our makeshift defence.
Once again, Steve Davis was at the core of everything good and it was heartening to see Jamie Ness return and make incisive runs and passes. Goian is settling in nicely and Lee Wallace in particular continues to impress with his work rate and clever positional play.
Tough fixtures against Maribor and Motherwell await with key players injured – a steep learning curve for the new manager.
