Elgin City 0 East Stirlingshire 1
A SUBLIME strike from Stephen McGuire was enough for East Stirlingshire to defeat Elgin at Borough Briggs, a result which confirmed Shire's place in the play-offs.
Albion Rovers 1 Queen's Park 0
CIARAN Donnelly's 56th minute strike gave Albion Rovers a precious victory against fellow play-off hopefuls Queen's Park.
Rovers now trail fourth-placed Queen's Park by a solitary point and, crucially, the Coatbridge side have a game in hand on Queen's and two games in hand on fifth-placed Berwick.
Annan Athletic 3 Stranraer 2
ANNAN kept alive their slender play-off hopes with a 3-2 win over Stranraer at Galabank.
Annan took the lead when Lewis Sloan fired home a superb swerving strike from just outside the box.
The hosts soon doubled their advantage when Brian Gilfillan scored with a well-placed header from David Cox's corner.
Graeme Bell put Annan further ahead when he slotted home Sloan's cut-back two minutes after the break.
But Michael Moore gave Stranraer some hope when his effort took a freakish deflection and looped into the net after an hour.
