Police have named an 80-year-old woman who died after being struck by a lorry in the Highland town of Nairn.
Margaret Ritchie, from Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, died from injuries sustained in the accident in Academy Street at about 3.30pm on Thursday.
A second female pedestrian aged 82 was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with serious injuries, where she remains in a stable condition.

Hide AdThe collision, which involved a heavy goods vehicle, happened near a pedestrian crossing in the town centre.
The man who was driving the lorry was uninjured in the incident.
