Teen fined for Clutha helicopter online comments
The 16 year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, posted racist comments on a social network in the hours that followed Friday night’s tragedy.
The Ayrshire teen’s comments included one which said he would have preferred to have seen the helicopter crash into the nearby Central Mosque.

Hide AdA total of nine people were killed when a Police Scotland helicopter “dropped like a stone” onto the roof of the Clutha bar in Glasgow city centre.
Following his arrest on Sunday evening he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday and was fined £800 after pleading guilty to the two charges, one of Breach of the Peace and the other of a racially aggravated Breach of the Peace.
It is understood Police Scotland are investigating 12 cases of online abuse posted following the Clutha helicopter crash.
