Peddling myths
News that the legal service Cycle Law Scotland aims to make motorists at fault in any accident involving a
cyclist (your report, 15 April) is just plain daft.
It is unacceptable to presume the motorist guilty and the cyclist blameless, regardless of the facts. Cyclists are largely a menace, as any driver or pedestrian will confirm.
It would make more sense if legislation made them pass a test, pay road tax and carry comprehensive insurance.
