Man arrested after kitten 'hanging' claim proves false
Grampian Police launched an inquiry after the animals were said to have been discovered at the Westhill Shopping Centre near Aberdeen.
However, police said that "extensive investigation" revealed that no animals were injured.

Hide AdA 47-year-old man was arrested in connection with wasting police time and a report was sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Grampian Police spokesman said: "Regarding the alleged incident on 18 October 2010 involving kittens allegedly being hung at Westhill Shopping Centre, Grampian Police can confirm that after extensive investigation it has been found that no animals have been injured.
"A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with wasting police time and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
