Outside court, Kevin Sewell said he “forgot” he’d previously been disqualified.
Police stopped the former prison officer’s car on January 11 – two days after he’d lost his licence for being three times over the limit. They found Sewell, 52, behind the wheel with the smell of alcohol coming from his breath, Livingston Sheriff Court heard yesterday. He failed a roadside breath test and was taken to Livingston police station, where he was found to be nearly twice the legal limit.
