Published Date: 29 August 2008
SCOTTISH police had information that might have changed the outcome of the Lockerbie bombing trial, a BBC TV programme has learned.
The information could have affected the credibility of key evidence, but was not passed to the defence team.

Libyan national Abdelbaset ali Mohmed al-Megrahi is serving life for killing 270 people in the 1988 bombing.

A prosecution witness ha
d seen a picture linking Megrahi to the bombing before he identified him.

Megrahi, 56, who maintains he is the victim of a miscarriage of justice, has been granted leave to appeal against his conviction for a second time.

One significant reason for the appeal is that Tony Gauci, who picked Megrahi out in a line-up, had looked at a magazine photograph of him just four days before he made the identification.

The Conspiracy Files: Lockerbie has now seen documentary evidence that Scottish police knew this was the case.

That information should have been passed to the defence, but the disclosure did not take place.

In the same programme, Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi, the son of Libyan leader Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi, has called the families of the 1988 Lockerbie air disaster "greedy" and "materialistic".

Megrahi was convicted of the murders on 31 January, 2001 after a lengthy investigation by the Scottish police and the FBI, and a nine-month trial at a specially convened Scottish court sitting in the Netherlands.

The Conspiracy Files: Lockerbie is on BBC 2 on Sunday at 9pm.

The same applied to the Luke Mitchell case yet he is still behind bars.
Witnesses claimed they saw his photo in the papers and thought it might have been him, How convenient ?

William Beck has claimed that police not only showed photos of him but they participated in the running of his ID Parade with one assisting with witnesses when they should have had nothing at-all to do with the parade.

SCCRC refused to refer his case and when they investigated his grounds the Q C he complained of was a member of their Board

He has an Appeal hearing on 16th September in Edinburgh and complains of Megrahi's QC also, One to watch out for.

What was Megrahi's defence team doing at the time of his trial ? (Sleeping perhaps)

Why was this evidence not brought out then ?

Then again we know his defence was unexpectedly closed without his QC consulting him first

#2.

"Why was this evidence not brought out then?"

Because this evidence, as well as other relevant evidence, e.g. the origins of the timer fragment, was not disclosed by the prosecution. The prosecution deliberately withheld evidence which could have cleared al-Megrahi.

Because of American pressure, he was made a scapegoat, and the Scottish justice system was brought into disrepute.

Each time this case surfaces it bring sadness that a once envied legal and justice system, has been reduced to the level of that we see daily in Africa.
By those trusted and paid to administer it on behalf of the people. Political pressure, Selective access to evidence, special interest agendas, and less than ethical judges. Weep Scotland Weep. Neither the accused nor the victims received justice in this case. And your future will fair no better, unless those entrusted to be objective and unbiased are just that. This is to important for the future of SCOTLAND to be swept under the carpet AGAIN.

some thing stank about that whole business from the beginning,I have never believed that Megrahi was responsible for the carnage that happened, and even worse,I think the politicians knew he wasn't,but alowed him to stay in jail just the same,
sooner or later people will get to know the truth and it will be at sewer level.!!!

I still don't believe it !,

#1 What rubbish! Mitchells photograph appeared in papers because he put himself forward, just as he appeared in a TV programme. No one manipulated this to happen so you can hardly spout off about it.
As regards ID parades you know nothing! Police officers conduct parades according to the Lord Advocates Guidelines, plus the suspects solicitor is present throughout. Conducting parades involves managing witnesses so get over it.

NEW! NEW!
Sensationally support for the discharge Libya' s in the Lockerbie Tragedy.

The ex FBI Special Agent, FBI chief Investigator of the Lockerbie-Case and ex chief of the Terrorist Research and Anaytical center (TRAC) confirm MEBO's crown defence evidence for Libya!

In Marquise's new expert book Scotbom: "Evidence and the Lockerbie Investigation", under Chapter 11;
that the Timer-Fragment PT-35 (MST-13) was descended of the first serie of MST-13 timer, designet and built by MEBO Ltd 1985 (prototype).

Important: No prototypes MST-13 timer were supplied to Libya!
So its confirms Edwin Bollier's investigation result, the MST-13 Fragment (PT-35) was not from a "Libya timer"!

Original excerpt, under Chapter 11:
After Lumpert's statement (ex Engeneer, at MEBO Ltd) was the first witness (1990) and after examining a photograph the PT-35, testified the chip had come from a circuit board for a timer he designed and built in 1985 at the request of Bollier. -----

------He had learned one week prior to the hearing that this timer might have been used in a bomb.

He believed the chip had come from one of the first timers made. He
detailed how he had designed this circuit board, nothing the slight
imperfections on PT-35. once the master board was made, the
imperfections showed up on the other circuit boards from that master.

Why FBI Special Agent Richard Marquise suppress this decisive determining proof from the court in Kamp van Zeist?

I am convinced, its status function in the "Lockerbie Fraud" is unmasked!
The truth at the High Court in Edinburgh will bring it shortly to the day…

Please see to the newest Dokumentar film on BBC:
The Conspiracy Files: Lockerbie will be broadcast on Sunday, 31 August, 2008 at 2100 BST on BBC Two.

For your information:

Libya and the official Abdelbaset al Megrahi have nothing to do with the Lockerbie-Tragedy.

timer,

Court, the full warranty that the manipulated MST-13 timer fragment (PT-35B) does not come from a timer supplied to Libya and therefore cannot be brought in connection with Libya.
LOCKERBIE is the biggest fraud in the history of Scotland!

Important clearing-up:
Libya did pay the compensation under explicit objection that Libya had absolutely nothing to do with the PanAm 103 Lockerbie-Tragedy and could therefore not be made responsible.

In the world media this objection is never mentioned. This tricky suppression of the whole statement by the world's leading news agencies leads to the generally accepted but nevertheless totally wrong notion: If they paid, they did it.

Why Libya pays?:
> Regain full diplomatic and economic status. This would allow oil companies to negotiate hundreds of billions of dollars worth of contracts, to drill the state's oilfields.
US President Bush signed on August 4, 2008 into law: S.3370, the "Libyan Claims Resolution Act."
The bill that grants Libyan immunity law and full diplomatic and economic status.

Ask to the Scottish Justice

On Septemer 1st, 2008 the month of fasting, Ramadan, will begin for
muslims. Message to the Scottish Justice in Edinburgh:

After the current realizations, for instance, the statement of truth in engineer Lumpert's affidavit, please release Mr Abdelbaset al Megrahi during the time of fresh judgement under electronic house detention (GPS surveillance) in his house in Glasgow, Scotland.

Thank you for your attention,

On Classic FM news this morning it was reported that the Swiss expert that gave evidence at the trial admitted that his evidence regarding the Timer was flawed!!!

In the light of the fact that this expert witness has finally admitted to having led "tainted" evidence at the trial I am now sure the CIA knows something more about this case than is generally known!

Kind of makes you wonder and speculate about 9/11 !!!

What makes you such an expert on ID Parades ?
Are you honestly trying to tell us the police are allowed to show photos when people are available for a Parade ?

Are you seriously trying to suggest the arresting officers should be allowed to participate in ID Parades and assist with witnesses ?

Get Real ya Tw@t

Oh and for your interest also the Lawyer that conducted that guys parade wrote that the police had No 2 out his mouth before turning to view the parade, His defence never called that evidence Why ?

No wonder he complained about defective representation.

And the same person that went on to defend the man accused of Lockerbie

Oh and for some strange reason the appeal mentioned at 1 above has been cancelled today
