HE’S HAIR, HE’S THERE... Celtic forward Georgios Samaras has been in fine form for the Parkhead side this season, chipping in with crucial goals in Europe as well as putting in a shift in the SPL.
Now it seems the Greek striker is cashing in on his flowing locks, as shown by this advert for Head and Shoulders shampoo. The hair care company has recruited a number of the world’s top footballers, including Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart and Real Madrid and Spain keeper Iker Casilla.
The commercial shows Samaras lying flat on his back, appearing to be in some distress. before the referee calls on the physio who proceeds to wash the striker’s hair with Head and Shoulders shampoo, after which Samaras gets to his feet and carries on playing, scoring what can only be the winning goal.
As we mentioned, Samaras isn’t the first Celtic star to have appeared in an advert. Korean defender Cha Du Ri turned up in some very bizarre adverts, including one where he played the role of a mop-wielding superhero, whilst former Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung also made an appearance in a commercial.
Other football-related adverts include this gem from 2002, before the World Cup was held in Japan and South Korea and Thierry Henry flogging Renaults.
