WEST Lothian's chief nurse has been appointed as acting head of health services for the West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership (CHCP).
Lynda Cowie will take up the key role in delivering vital services such as community and primary care, following the promotion of Jim Forrest to acting CHCP director.

Originally from Cambridge, Lynda joined NHS Lothian in 1987, and has held a variety of posts including midwife, health visitor, associate clinical director and assistant general manager, before joining the CHCP as chief nurse in February this year.

"I'm pleased to accept this new challenge to build on the good work already done within the CHCP," Ms Cowie said.

"I hope to find ways to further improve and enhance services."
