STEPS are being taken to investigate the possibility of creating allotments in Linlithgow.
The move follows a request from Linlithgow and District Allotment Society for West Lothian Council to look into the development of land for allotment use.

Councillor Martyn Day, who chairs the Linlithgow Local Area Committee, said: "In principal, we are supportive of an allotment site in Linlithgow and there is obviously a demand for it in the community.

"However, there are several issues that we must consider before taking the matter forward."
